Over Forty years’ experience in grain processing, combined with the diverse wealth of animal husbandry experience our members have, meant expanding to create bespoke animal feeds was a natural step for us. At Isle of Wight Grain, we believe that animal feed is far more than a commodity, it is the backbone of our farmers success. Our commitment to providing our customers with premium, optimised animal feed speaks for itself in the results its produces.
Our AIC registered nutritionist leads a team of expert Feed Advisors and Agronomists, utilising their years of knowledge and experience to constantly develop partnerships and refine understanding of our customers’ unique requirements. Our bespoke feed recipes are designed by the team to ensure optimum animal health and performance. We collaborate closely with Biosprint Yeast, Scotmin Nutrition, Trouw Nutrition and Boodle Bros
In accordance with our environmentally aware ethos, our bespoke commissioned Feed Mill is run using solar panels installed on the building’s roof at point of build, to reduce the Carbon Footprint of this process. We deliver using our own fleet of vehicles and are currently in process of purchasing an electric vehicle specifically for feed deliveries.
All our vehicles are regulated and accredited under the Trade Assurance Scheme for Combinable Crops (TASCC) code of practice for animal feeds.
To ensure the highest quality standards are consistently maintained Isle of Wight Grain is approved and compliant under the Universal Feed Assurance Standards (UFAS). This internationally recognised code of practice means we are independently audited on a yearly basis to ensure conformity. Quality standards and full traceability are ensured by a robust and comprehensive internal control system, meeting Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental systems requirements not only the UFAS Code of Practice, but also ISO 14001, 45001 and TASCC standards.
