Isle of Wight Grain is a farmers’ cooperative, owned and managed by its 60 members. After harvest, we gather the member’s crops together at the grain processing plant in Cowes. Alongside the farmers own vehicles, our small fleet of lorries collects the grain and deliver it to the plant. The grain is then cleaned, dried, tested and stored, ready for sale.
 

Frontier Agriculture, our Partner and Marketing Agent, markets the grain nationally and internationally.  Combining members crops provides a bulk quantity of quality grain to sell, attracting larger customers, which subsequently secures a more favorable price. The grain is either shipped from the quay adjacent to the plant or delivered via our fleet.
 

Isle of Wight Grain also acts the main procurer of feedstock for the Anaerobic Digestion Plant located on the Isle of Wight. This allows members an option to grow crops as feedstock, at pre-agreed prices.
